Looking for work experience?

Employers want to see evidence of work experience on your CV, so it's important to start developing your skills as early as possible. Gaining work experience will allow you to make new contacts, help you to make decisions about your future, and will improve your overall likelihood of getting a job when you graduate. Read more about the importance of work experience and how to find it in this article from our Ultimate Careers Guide Magazine.

See below for some opportunities to gain valuable experience both on campus and in the local area. Other useful ways to find experience include networking, attending careers events, and sending speculative applications for unadvertised opportunities. For further ideas see our page on additional ways to get work experience
