Ultimate Careers Guide London Magazine

Each year we produce a magazine covering everything you need to know about getting started with your career - including how to make the most of your time at university, finding work experience, making applications, choosing further study and starting your own business. Collect a copy from the Careers & Enterprise Centre, read it using Zmags or download the individual articles.

Getting into... industry guides

Written by the QMUL careers team, find out more about different roles available in an industry, how to job hunt and whether the sector is the right one for you. Current industry guides are:

Practice full length numerical, verbal, inductive, logical and diagrammatic tests online, with downloadable answer sheets that explain the solutions to each question. Register at using your @qmul email address. 

Online interview simulator

Practice interview questions, find out what employers are looking for, and try a sample case study exercise. Log-in using your qmul username and password. If you are a recent graduate you will need to register first here.

Part time work guide

The Careers & Enterprise Centre and Advice and Counselling put together an annual guide to part time and vacation work. It includes information on how to find and apply for part time work, gaining an National Insurance number, plus information on relevant benefits and advice for international students. 

Careers Tagged is an online information library where you can find links on all things careers related. 

Going Global

Are you thinking about working or studying abroad? The Going Global portal has information specific to countries across the world on topics such as: job search sources, work permit/visa regulations, resume writing guidelines and examples, employment trends, salary ranges, networking groups and cultural/interviewing advice.
