Applying for jobs

vinny

Your application (whether it is a CV or online form) is the first step to getting noticed by a recruiter. Taking the time to get this right will increase your chances of getting through to the next stage.

Don’t be tempted to send the same CV or application for every role you apply for, as recruiters will want to see how your skills and experience match exactly what they are looking for, for that particular vacancy. The job description will list these requirements, so provide clear and relevant examples of your skills to prove you have the ability to do the job.

This process is the same for all vacancies, whether it’s an internship, work experience position or part time role. Don't fall into the trap of thinking that applications for vacation jobs or part time work don't require effort! See the pages in this section for further advice and examples.

For feedback on your application, or to arrange a Practice Interview, see the Book An Appointment page, call 020 7882 8533 or visit us in WG3 Queens’ Building.
