For students with a disability

Queen Mary is dedicated to offering career services and additional support for students with a disability. If you have any questions or reasonable adjustment requests, please email us at careers@qmul.ac.uk.

The Equality Act 2010 defines a disabled person as someone with a physical or mental impairment that has a substantial and long-term adverse effect on their ability to perform normal day-to-day activities. If you fall within this definition, you are legally protected against discrimination because of your disability. Disability includes:

  • Physical or sensory impairments
  • Neurodivergence (such as autism, dyslexia, dyspraxia, or ADHD)
  • Mental health
  • Long-term health conditions (such as cancer, diabetes, or HIV).
