Global Entrepreneurship Week

Global Entrepreneurship Week returns on 13-19 November 2023 and it is the world's largest entrepreneurship festival, celebrated in 180 countries.

Global Entrepreneurship Week is a collection of tens of thousands of events, activities and competitions to celebrate and empower entrepreneurs in every country and community across the world – especially inspiring to those who want to explore their potential as an entrepreneur while fostering connections and increasing collaboration within their ecosystems.

Here at Queen Mary, we will be celebrating Global Entrepreneurship Week by telling the stories of successful entrepreneurs with links to the university. Keep an eye out for updates across our social media channels and website for more information!

 

Entrepreneur Meetups

Entrepreneurs Meetup (All are welcome) | 31st October, 6.30 - 8.30pm

We invite you to join us for an entrepreneurial meetup and take the opportunity to connect with like-minded QMUL entrepreneurs.

A theme in this meetup is AI and the future of work

  • Can AI help break down barriers?
  • Can AI help improve inclusion/access in entrepreneurial spaces?

At this meetup we:

  • Hear from business founders about their mission
  • Discuss challenges and share ideas
  • Make connections for mentorship, partnerships, and collaboration

Whether you're a seasoned entrepreneur or just embarking on your exploration of the business landscape, this meetup is your opportunity to become part of an enthusiastic community that champions innovation, inclusivity, and prioritises ideas over individual identities.

 

Meetup for Women Entrepreneurs | 7th November, 6 - 8pm

Are you a woman with a passion for entrepreneurship and business? 

Women often face unique obstacles in business like fundraising disparities, credibility issues, and work-life balance.

No matter where you are in your entrepreneurial journey, this meetup is your opportunity to join a community that allows for an open discussion of these` challenges.

London Venture Crawl

London Venture Crawl is an initiative between 12 UK universities to explore the entrepreneurial highlights of East London’s entrepreneurial ecosystem.

This year we invite our students and graduates to visit incubators, co-working space, a diverse start-up community and to meet with other student entrepreneurs during the pitching competition.

The event is designed to give students the opportunity to connect to real-world businesses, be inspired by the UK’s vibrant entrepreneurial ecosystem, and gain skills in self-confidence, creative thinking, and leadership.
